Why the Massey PM Blog?

Massey PM is a blog about the lessons, experiences, and guiding principles that I have learned over my lifetime, especially as they pertain to leadership. My hope is that these lessons and insights might be of some assistance to the reader as he or she pursues a place of leadership in whatever area of life it may be.

These posts are in three sections: Preparation--early years when my philosophy was beginning to be shaped; Experience--the thirty years that I was a principal of Adamsville High School and Assistant Director of McNairy County Schools (TN) from 1979 to 2009, and Post Experience--lessons learned after retirement. 

Recalling so many stories, I am reminded that we should never stop learning. They have become all the more meaningful as I think of them from a different vantage point now over a decade after my retirement. Leaders should never stop learning. May these thoughts help you in some small way to shape your own philosophy as you navigate the worthwhile pursuit of becoming a leader.
